By providing a means to allow work in the cloud, statasticians can work from anywhere, however clearly managing their identity is key to then allowing authorised acccess to the services they wish to use. There are a number of tools and standard protocols for asseting this both locally and via a federated set ot trusted external identity providers.
Implementation
The open source WSO2 Identity Server is running in a Docker container and can be used both locally and to facilitate people using external identity providers to assert who they are to the platform.
Example
The Identity Server supports a number of standard protocols and can be used to allow any of the platforms services to validate the identity of the person wishing to use them.
