For any processes which have a human component the industry standard BPMN tools provide a great deal of out of the box functionality. In this case the runtime engine also supports the standards for business rules (DMN) and Case management (CMMN).
Implementation
The PoC platform is running the open source Camunda BPM suite, deployed in docker containers.
